Scott Loochtan
President
Scott has been involved in insurance in one form or another his entire life. He opened his second full-service brokerage in 1991 with two of his closest friends, both of whom are still with him today–one that has since become his brother-in-law. The office, in the beginning, was just that, one office, located in his father’s candy factory that had one desk, one phone, and one computer. In 1997, Scott’s initial agency changed its name to Senior Services of Illinois, Inc., which is an Independent, Authorized Exclusive General Agent for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. A distinction that only four other agencies in the state of Illinois hold, Senior Services of Illinois is a company that specializes in health and Medicare-related coverage. Over the next couple of decades, Scott turned that single-desk office into a bustling three-suite expansion that houses over 30 desks, 30 computers, and more than 30 phones with an experienced staff of 25 education specialists and administrative professionals.
Scott is a well-known sales trainer and noted speaker on Medicare Part D, Health Insurance, and Life Insurance and has trained thousands of insurance professionals throughout the country. He continues to speak and educate at numerous seminars on the topics of Medicare, Medicare Part D, Life Insurance, and Long Term Care Insurance. He has been featured regularly on Fox Business News online and in articles and publications about Senior Financial Planning, Investments, and Medicare Supplemental Insurance. Scott has also been featured in Terry Savage’s column on Medicare Part D for the Chicago Sun-Times.
Scott attended the University of Kansas focusing his studies on marketing and accounting. He is a member of the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP) as well as the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU) and has received the NAHU’s prestigious Golden Eagle Award for Top Producer four times.
